I liked seeing the boys do a formal performance. Then Answer team really pulled it off and did a lot better then it seemed like they would, way to go boys. I didn't particularly love EITHER performance, but that's me. I did appreciate that we got nice HQ videos of both songs at the end.
I loved the model challenge! I think my favorite end pic was Changsun, I just thought it was fun and unique and really showed his dance and artistic sensibilities. Watching all the boys work out was hilarious! And Yunho finally has eyebrows back, so I no longer hate him. Amazing. Taehoon taking off his shirt while Centuries by Fall Out Boy played and Gunwook shouted Sexy Man was a whole ass mood. They were all good and interesting!
Ok, I am interested to see how they are reworking sherlock...why were they talking about tiger inside at all it is a rap song...I love fools by troye sivan...ok no more thoughts my eyes are crossing its bedtime
I had to rush through this last night because I somehow ended up with the WORST headache right before bed? I think last night's SINGLE GLASS OF WINE was just...not good.
Jaeeok crying...hmm, I do think there is more to that then what he said...something is going on there. Maybe it's his last chance. Anyway, I really like Juann, he and Jaejun have been the two catching my eye with Changsun from the start.
It was interesting seeing everyone pick and Jisung just SIT DOWN lol I kinda love him. I know all the boys in TAN now BUT the final two I keep mixing up.
I'm pretty sure I saw online that Jaeeok did Tiger Inside for his audition to Wild Idol, so I'm assuming it's a song he feels confident about, hence the suggestion. But while I would love to see a Tiger Inside vocal team version, I don't think a competition like this is the time for it lol.
I'm now sufficiently immersed in the Kpop Lore that I'm just always upset that SVT Hoshi wasn't part of the Tiger Inside OG performance. Like. He's your tiger!
Honestly, I barely recognize some of them when they are all glammed up for the stages lol. To be fair, I don't know most of their faces well.
Both teams did well, but Answer was my preference too just in terms of 1) the type of the song and 2) my two fave guys are on that team lol. Most of the guys on this team really needed a win, so it was nice to see them get it. I also always enjoy to see some guys having a happy/relieved cry. Had a chuckle at the guy who got booted from the No Thanks team thanking the #1 guy for kicking him out. And again! Hyunyeop with the one pick win! What is going on with him and the voting!
Modeling challenge was neat, and I'm glad we got to see a bit from everyone's shoot instead of just selected contestants. All the skinny, "I'm not confident in my muscles" guys turning out to also be decently cut with muscles...pls be for real. This industry can really give people complexes, like damn, y'all are all great. Being that this is Men's Health though, it makes sense for Junhyub to get the cover, and he really did look amazing and plainly knew exactly what he was doing. But mostly in this section, I had fun watching all the guys watching their fellow contestants slack-jawed and shouting "hot guy!" #justidolthings
Interesting to see how they divide themselves up. Some of them very plainly excel in one area, so it's an easy choice, but others are great at multiple or don't necessarily stand out in any. It's funny to see the other contestants questioning them like "Oh? You're coming here? Really?" My guy Yoonho made the realistic choice of picking the team with the fewest members, and my other guy Jaeeok went to join his fellow shorties in the vocal field. Of the three sets, I think the dance section is going to be most competitive because by and large they are all good dancers and I don't think anyone has really stood out as an exceptionally dominant contestant in dance. I feel like any of those five could take it.
Jaeeok, my lad! To be honest, I am 50/50 on whether he is crying for real or for the show. If it's for real, I can see it, since he's been putting himself out there and taking charge, but it keeps not going well, so I can understand wanted to just follow the majority opinion. Anyway, interested to see all the performances coming up, but especially Sherlock! They did it for me. :)
Yeah 'Men's Health' was an interesting pick - I've only read it a few times, the gay guys I used to live with would get it (and not so much for the health tips), and I do find some of the 'health' content dubious at best. Obviously the women's magazine industry is little better for body image, but I do think slightly more likely to include at least nonsense/non-harmful content alongside it.
But mostly in this section, I had fun watching all the guys watching their fellow contestants slack-jawed and shouting "hot guy!" #justidolthings It is funny when idols meet random muscular men e.g. on foreign trips when they're teaching them to surf or whatever and start just chanting their appreciation and you can see the guys being like HUH OK :DD
DELIGHTED to see 'Sherlock', in fact I think Hoshi would have been too lol
I also didn't have very strong feelings about 'No Thanks' or 'Answer' - it was frankly hard for either stage to be incredibly impressive out there in the wind with minimal lighting and styling, although goodness knows people do pull it off at Glastonbury etc
That's a 'Safety Harness' the boys in Answer were wearing, huh? Thanks subtitles. I'll believe you, thousands wouldn't.
No animal facts this week! I want to know how anthills relate to dance offs!
I'm glad team 'Answer' won - I do like an underdog story. Slightly wanted to astrally project through space and time (and get on the panel) and vote for Changsun, my Good Boy. When he was upset afterwards I wanted to hug him!
And then FINALLY indoors! \o/ Out of the rain and wind and grey skies! Well done Mens Health for picking up this tie-in deal and getting them under a roof. Yes, for Mens Health it was always going to be the ones with abs like washboards - I'm not sure it's actually that 'healthy' and it's certainly not my favourite visual, but I can appreciate meeting a theme. Sexy muscle posing notionally for men to emulate rather than lust after is also an interesting one to unpick. I too enjoyed them cheering each other on. And supporting each other to 'enjoy' the sad bagged chicken... that must have so many preservatives....
I am excited for the units, especially Sherlock, although the dance preview looked pretty cool too, and I guess I like dance best of the 3 disciplines, if I had to pick :D
